The Thoracic Surgery/Thoracic Tumor Center at DeltaHealth Cardiovascular Hospital · Shanghai has been established by a team led by Professor Zhao Heng, who is an Honorary Director and Ph.D Supervisor in Thoracic Surgery at Shanghai Chest Hospital affiliated to Shanghai Jiaotong University. The center also features collaborative input from multiple prominent oncology specialists. Adhering to national standard methodologies and techniques, this center offers comprehensive management for various thoracic tumor conditions. It functions as a complete diagnostic and treatment system, providing services such as tumor diagnosis, surgical intervention, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, interventional treatments (planned), immunotherapy, and targeted drug therapy.

The Center features an internationally professional expert medical team dedicated to delivering high-quality healthcare services. Based on advanced disease management philosophies, clinical diagnostic and treatment guidelines of international standard, and the integration of forefront research outcomes, we offer various treatment modalities to patients, particularly multidisciplinary consultation and treatment for thoracic tumors (e.g., lung, mediastinal, and esophageal tumors). The Center employs various chemotherapy modalities, including neoadjuvant chemotherapy, concurrent chemoradiotherapy, and adjuvant chemotherapy. Concurrently, the interventional treatment platform will conduct complex biopsy procedures and various interventional embolization therapies. This comprehensive approach ensures the provision of high-quality medical services for patients across early, middle, and late stages of disease.

Expertise in Pulmonary Diseases, including:

1. Pulmonary Nodules and Lung Cancer: Precise diagnosis and minimally invasive surgery for lung nodules

Comprehensive treatment for early, middle, and late-stage lung cancer (surgery + neoadjuvant/adjuvant therapy + targeted therapy/immunotherapy/ablation/radiotherapy)

2. General Thoracic Diseases: Conventional management of common conditions such as pneumothorax, pleural effusion, and bronchiectasis

Minimally invasive correction for chest wall deformities (pectus excavatum/pectus carinatum)

3. Highly Complex Thoracic Tumors: Radical resection and complex reconstruction for trachea/mediastinal/esophageal tumors with large vessel or carina invasion

Introduction：Liyan Jiang, chief physician of respiratory medicine of Chest Hospital affiliated to Shanghai Jiaotong University. She has more than 30 years of research and clinical experience in diagnosis and treatment of lung cancer. She has been dedicated to research of translational medicine of lung cancer. She is apt at diagnosis, differential diagnosis and MDT treatment of lung cancer. She has acquired national funding for multiple academic research, published more than 100 original papers and reviews, 80+ of which are published on SCI journals. She is the chief editor or editor of 7 monogragh within the discipline, including Lung Cancer, Biological Targeted Immunotherapy of Tumors, Cell Biology and Molecular Biology of Respiratory Diseases. She has won multiple Shanghai Science and Technology Achievement Awards.
