The Department of Perfusion of DeltaHealth Hospital · Shanghai is an indispensable part of the surgical team. Perfusionists are certified and have more than 10 years of work experience in large cardiovascular specialized hospitals at home and abroad. They are able to independently conduct routine and deep hypothermic circulatory arrest (DHCA) with cerebral perfusion for newborn, children and adults, and other extracorporeal circulation operations, as well as ECMO, ventricular assist and other extracorporeal life support technologies. DeltaHealth Hospital is currently a member of Extracorporeal Life Support Organization (ELSO).

The department has internationally advanced extracorporeal circulation equipment, including LivaNova S5, Maquet HL30 cardiopulmonary machine and ECMO equipment, advanced extracorporeal circulation safety monitoring equipment, which can provide respiratory and circulatory assistance and extracorporeal life support for cardiac surgery patients. It adopts oxygenators with integrated arterial filter, VAVD minimally invasive surgery, NIRS brain oxygen monitoring, minimally invasive centrifugal pump, extracorporeal adsorption perfusion, long-acting myocardial protection, advanced blood protection strategy, to provide safe extracorporeal circulation, and myocardial, nerve, and organ protection.
