He has produced a series of achievements in the intravascular ultrasound technology, research and development of new coronary stents, intervention strategies for complex and difficult coronary artery diseases, cell therapy for coronary artery diseases and other fields. He is also among the first experts to perform intervention of structural heart disease, having completed over 700 percutaneous balloon mitral valvuloplasty procedures, as well as over 800 interventional treatments for congenital heart disease.
