Dr. Zhang Jie has been engaged in clinical pathological diagnosis for about 40 years and devoted to the clinical pathological diagnosis of tumor and molecular pathology research. He once pursued further studies or carried out scientific research in Department of Pathological Anatomy and Cytology, Chinese University of Hong Kong, Department of Molecular Pathology, School of Medicine, Hiroshima University, Japan, Heidelberg University, Germany, and University of Southern California, USA. He has published more than 60 academic papers, including 15 SCI papers. In 2021, invited by the World Health Organization, he became one of the editors of the fifth edition of WHO Chest Tumor Pathology (fascicule).

In recent years, he has edited Clinical Pathological Diagnosis and Differential Diagnosis of Trachea, Lung, Pleura and Mediastinum Diseases (People’s Medical Publishing House), Standard of Clinical Pathological Examination of Lung Cancer (Yangtze River Delta series of book for clinical pathological examination standard), Atlas in Pathological Diagnosis of Thymic Tumor, and other academic works. He’s also the editorial board member of the 10th and 11th Chinese Journal of Pathology; deputy chief of the 11th, 12th chest disease study group under Chinese Association of Pathology; committee member of the 2nd and 3rd pathology branch of Chinese Medical Doctor Association; member of the 4th and 5th China Anti-Cancer Association; member of molecular pathology quality control group under Pathology Quality Control Center, National Health Commission; leader of chest disease study group of pathological special committee under Chinese Research Hospital Association; leader of chest disease quality control expert group of Yangtze River Delta Pathology Quality Control Union.
