Dr. Kaitao Jian graduated from Clinical Medicine Department of Sun Yat-sen University with a bachelors degree and from Tianjin Medical University with a Medical Doctors degree. He has nearly 20 years of experience in diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular surgery. He has sought further surgical training in Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery department of Hospital affiliated to University of Minnesota and Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery department of Hospital affiliated to University of Pennsylvania. He has rich experience in cardiovascular surgeries, including valve replacement, valvuloplasty, coronary artery bypass graft, ventricular aneurysm resection and the comprehensive treatment of complex, low-age and low-weight congenital heart disease; secondary cardiac surgery, minimally invasive cardiac surgery, etc.; surgical treatment of great vessel diseases, including acute aortic dissection, thoracic and abdominal aortic replacement (TAAR), etc.

He is a youth member of the third cardiac surgery speciality branch committee under Shanghai Medical Association, a member of acute and critical disease branch under Shanghai Non-Public Medical Institution Association, and a member of the second Behcet’s syndrome group of rheumatism branch under Shanghai Association of Chinese Integrative Medicine. a member of the first cardiovascular surgery branch committee under Tianjin Physician Association.
