Dr. Zhenning Nie is the vice chief physician of the Cardiology Department in Zhongshan Hospital, Fudan University and the director of Electrophysiology Center. With over 20 years of experience in electrophysiology and radiofrequency ablation, he is a leading surgeon of RFA surgery at Zhongshan Hospital, having performed over 10,000 cases of various types of arrhythmia ablation surgery. He is particularly skilled in RFA treatment for complex arrhythmias. He has participated in 4 scientific research projects of National Natural Science Foundation of China and led 1 project of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Science and Technology. His work has been published in leading journals such as JACC and Europace, with multiple SCI-cited papers.

He serves as a Standing Committee Member of Shanghai Cardiac Rhythm Society, a member of the Shanghai Cardiac Intervention Quality Control Center Expert Committee, a member of Youth Group of Electrophysiology and Cardiac Pacing Branch under Chinese Medical Association, and a member of LAAO Working Committee, Electrophysiology and Cardiac Pacing Branch, Chinese Medical Association.

He was awarded the Clinical New Technology Application Promotion Award by Zhongshan Hospital in 2016 for pioneering Epicardial Ablation via Pericardial Puncture for Ventricular Tachycardia in Structural Heart Disease. He was recognized as an excellent teaching mentor by Shanghai Medical College of Fudan University in 2016. He also received the Excellent Atrial Fibrillation Researcher award from the Shanghai Atrial Fibrillation Center Alliance in 2022 and was honored as one of the Zhongshan Technical Elite in 2024.
