Dr. Gao Guangxiais a Chief Physician with a Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Medicine. She has practiced more than three decades in Pediatric departments and been a Director of Pediatrics for 20 years of Tertiary A hospitals since her graduation from Norman Bethune Health Science Center of Jilin University, accumulating rich clinical experience. She has led 2 municipal-level research projects and published more than 10 academic papers.
She specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of common pediatric diseases, with particular expertise in tracheitis, pneumonia, encephalitis, urinary tract infection, diarrhea, anaphylactoid purpura, digestive tract hemorrhage, digestive ulcer, and hand-foot-mouth disease. She also holds rich experience in managing less frequently seen diseases, such as immune thrombocytopenia, monocytangina (Pfeiffer’s glandular fever), Kawasaki disease, Guillain-Barre Syndorme (GBS). She is capable of timely treatment of acute and critical pediatric conditions, such as convulsions, shock, heart failure, severe encephalitis. Over the past years, she has initially mastered the diagnosis and treatment of childhood growth hormone deficiency and precocious puberty via self-study and training.
